| Champions at National Thailand Barista Championship |
|
The 2010 National Thailand Barista Championship (NTBC) was held from 18 February 21 March at The Mall, Bankapi, Bangkok. This was also the venue for the "Tea, Coffee Drinks" trade show and included four BIG days of outstanding coffee competition from 28 of the best baristas in Thailand. This is the 3rd year of competition and everyone who has seen the previous competitions said that the professional level has doubled every year. Although there are many barista competitions in the Thailand throughout the year, the NTBC is the only barista competition in Thailand that is sanctioned by the World Barista Association. The winner will receive entry to represent Thailand at the 11th Annual World Barista Competition in London, 23-25 June.

Last weekend saw numerous super cars descend upon the heart of Bangkok for the start of the Graham City to Coast Rally. With open roads and staged time controls, the event attracted over 35 supercars including Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Maseratis as well as Aston Martins, Porsches and several GTR Skylines
CoffeeWORKS and their 1963 Lincoln Continental were there in full force, pumping their freshly roasted Napoli blend through their own Italian super machines, the Cimbali M1, Cimbali M21 and Cimbali M29.
Starting early on Saturday morning, all cars made for an impressive sight in the early morning light while drivers received briefings of the drive and stages that lay ahead. The briefing was followed by an open air breakfast amongst the cars hosted by the CoffeeWORKS crew. As the leading distributor of the Italian espresso machines Cimbali, it was a unique opportunity for drivers and teams to experience CoffeeWORKS Italian inspired espressos and cappuccinos from their professional Cimbali machines. Rich in heritage and a key player in Italys cafe industry, Cimbali machines are the equivalent of an Italian supercar in the world of Italian espresso machines. |
